Game number four: Pyramid.
A different kind of solitaire
There are no columns to build and no suits to sort. Instead, 28 cards sit face up in a pyramid, and you clear them in pairs that add up to 13. It's quick to learn and a nice change after a long game of Spider.
The rules in short
- An Ace is 1, a Jack 11, a Queen 12 and a King 13. Kings go on their own.
- A pyramid card is free once both cards resting on it are gone.
- Tap the stock to turn a card onto the waste. The top waste card can pair with a pyramid card.
- Clear the whole pyramid to win.
Little things that save clicks
- Tap to pair. Tap a card with only one possible partner and the pair goes straight away. If there's a choice, the card lifts up and you tap the partner you want.
- Pick your passes. Go through the stock once for a hard game, three times for the usual game, or as often as you like.
- Unlimited undo, as always.
