Three new games at once, and they're all about winning tricks: Hearts, Spades and Euchre.

In each one you play with 3 AI players: Ava, Ben and Cleo.

Hearts

Play Hearts →

The game where you try not to win. Every heart you take costs a point, and the Queen of Spades costs thirteen.

  • Pass three cards before each hand: left, right, across, then keep.
  • The 2 of clubs leads the first trick, and no points can be played on it.
  • Hearts can't be led until one has been played.
  • Take every heart and the Queen in one hand and you shoot the moon: everyone else gets 26 instead.
  • Play to 100 points, or 50 for a shorter game. Lowest score wins.

Spades

Play Spades →

A partnership game. You and the player across from you are a team, and spades are always trump.

  • Look at your hand and bid how many tricks you'll take. Your bid and your partner's make your contract.
  • Make it and you score ten a trick. Fall short and you lose the lot.
  • Tricks over your bid are bags. Collect ten and it costs you 100 points, so don't overshoot.
  • Feeling brave? Bid Nil and try to take no tricks at all, for 100 points.
  • Play to 500, or 250 for a quicker game.

Euchre

Play Euchre →

Fast and loud, with just 24 cards and five cards each. You and your partner need three tricks out of five.

  • A card is turned up. Order it up to make its suit trump, or pass and see if anyone else will.
  • The Jack of trump is the highest card, and the other Jack of the same colour comes next.
  • Strong hand? Go alone and leave your partner out. Take all five tricks on your own for four points.
  • Take fewer than three tricks after calling trump and you're euchred: the other team scores two.
  • First team to 10 wins. Turn on stick the dealer if you'd rather the dealer has to name trump than redeal.

Made to be easy to pick up

  • Tap a card to play it. Cards you can't play are dimmed, so you never break the rules by accident.
  • The AI players keep a steady pace. Each trick stays on the table for a moment so you can see who won it.
  • The score is always one tap away. Open the score sheet any time to see every hand so far.
  • Leave whenever you like. Your match is kept in your browser, so it's waiting when you come back.
  • Light and quick. The pages are small and load fast, even on a slow phone connection, and they work just as well on a phone as on a laptop.

Each game has a full rules page and a strategy guide, if you want to sharpen up before your first hand. Good luck at the table.
